MP backs biodiesel tax break campaign

Liberal Democrat MP Andrew George is backing a project to keep tax breaks for companies who produce biodiesel.
Producers oil into biodiesel presently take advantage of a 20p differential however that is due to end next April.
The St Ives MP, who leads the Lib Dem Environment Team, has been meeting the UK sustainable biodiesel alliance.
Mr George stated "a number of small companies in Cornwall currently generate income from used cooking oil".
He included: "In order to be able to get this type of market going it does require simply a little bit of lift which is available in the kind of tax inescapable."
Biodiesel is a blend of conventional diesel, rapeseed and vegetable oils.
